Ed Sheeran Song Quiz

You hear one second of a real Ed Sheeran recording and name it. Land it straight away and the round is worth five points. Miss or skip and the clip grows to two seconds, then four, seven and eleven, worth less every time. Five Ed Sheeran tracks per run, roughly two minutes, and the guess box suggests titles as you type so spelling never costs you a round.

Tracks are pulled live from the public catalogue, so the five you get change every run. Expect titles like Shape of You, Perfect, Thinking Out Loud, Photograph, Bad Habits. Each round also starts at a random point in the recording, so Shape of You opening on a verse and Shape of You opening on the chorus are two completely different puzzles.

Harder than the mixed pop & hits quiz. When every round is Ed Sheeran, the genre and era clues you normally lean on in the first second are gone, so you are separating Perfect from Thinking Out Loud on texture alone. Most casual listeners need three or four seconds a track; regulars get there in one.

No, but it helps. Knowing Ed Sheeran and recognising Ed Sheeran in a single second turn out to be very different skills, which is why the first round humbles almost everyone. If it bites, try the wider Pop & Hits quiz first and come back.
