Guess The Lyrics
One second of a song. Name it. Every miss buys you more audio and costs you points.
5 songs · one second to start · no sign-up
Pick a genre
Play one, or mix several for a harder run.
Quiz one artist
Every round from a single catalogue, which removes the genre clue you normally lean on.
Or a decade
Filtered by release window, so the production itself becomes a clue.
Played by ear, not by reading
Most lyric games hand you a printed line with a word blanked out. That tests whether you have read the words, not whether you know the song. This one plays you a single second of the actual recording and asks you to name it.
Get it immediately and it is worth five points. Miss, and you hear two seconds, then four, then seven, then eleven, with the round worth less each time. Knowing a song and recognising it in a second turn out to be very different skills.
Play a mixed music quiz, narrow to K-Pop, Bollywood or Latin, or go all the way down to a single artist. It doubles as a name that song and finish the lyrics game.
Questions
How does it work?
Each round plays one second of a real recording. Name the song and you score five points. Miss or skip and you unlock more audio, but the round is worth less: two seconds is worth four points, four seconds three, and so on down to one. Five songs per run.
Does it show me the lyrics?
No. You play by ear. Nothing is printed on screen and no lyrics are stored or reproduced anywhere on the site, which is also why a one second clip is genuinely hard.
Do I have to spell the title exactly?
No. Start typing and pick from the suggestions, or type freely. Typos, missing words and bracketed extras like a featured artist all still count, and anything ambiguous gets a second look before it is marked wrong.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up, no download, no cost. Advertising is what pays for it.
What music is in it?
Pop and hits, K-Pop, Latin, Bollywood and Desi music, mixed together or one at a time. There are also single-artist quizzes for dozens of acts and decade quizzes from the 80s to the 2020s.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Five songs a day, identical for every player worldwide, resetting at midnight UTC. Finish it on consecutive days to build a streak, then share a spoiler-free grid of your result.
